Do you believe your health is your wealth? My special guest Kamila Mcdonald struggled with her weight for years and got from her highest of 188 pounds in 2003 to 125 in 2009. Kamila began building her health and fitness brand online in 2009 after openly sharing her health and weight-loss transformation across various social media platforms which culminated, at the time, when she was crowned Miss Jamaica World Beach Beauty 2009. She then became certified as a personal trainer and sports nutritionist and began teaching fitness classes in various locations and running nutrition workshops. The Dominican Republic after being crowned Miss Jamaica Bikini 2013. She was also crowned Miss Jamaica Bikini in 2013 and represented Jamaica in at the Central American and Caribbean Body Building and Fitness Championships. Went on her first-ever Kamp Kamila tour to NYC, Atlanta, Miami, D.C, Philly, Trinidad & Barbados and has had an annual presence in the overseas markets since. She released her first edition of her book Wake Up And Live In 2017 and in 2019 launched the second edition and her Jamaican Inspired Healthy Cook Book Kamila’s Kitchen in 2019. She has used her experiences to build a strong and engaging social media audience where she continues to send positive, fitness and nutrition messages in an effort to be an inspirational catalyst for healthy living across the world. Kamila is currently an ambassador of WATA, Adidas and the Ministry of Health.
