Today, we’re talking to H. Nelson Tracey about his recent feature film, Breakup Season, which has a crazy talented ensemble of actors, including their lead, Chandler Riggs. How the heck did you make that happen, Nelson!? We gotta know!

H. Nelson Tracey is a director and producer based in Los Angeles. His feature debut, Breakup Season, played at 39 film festivals nationwide in 2024 before being acquired by Buffalo 8 for worldwide distribution. After an 18-city theatrical run in November 2024, it is now available to stream on Amazon & Tubi. As a documentary producer and editor, his work has appeared on Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, and also premiered at prominent film festivals including Slamdance and Tribeca. He also works as a festival consultant, helping short and feature filmmakers navigate through their film festival journey with success. Originally from Denver, CO, he graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production. He's currently gearing up for a vinyl release of the Breakup Season soundtrack, as well as developing his next directing projects.
