More than 10 years after he left his job in the City of Richmond’s elections office, David Levine has returned to lead it as the general registrar. Levine took over as Richmond’s top elections administrator in July, several months after Keith Balmer stepped down — and as the city prepared for a historic election season.
VPM News Reporter Dean Mirshahi recently spoke with the registrar about his elections experience, the new role and issues the office has had since his return.
