Almost dismissively , had it not been a bit of curiosity on Del's part , Marnie may have missed a key link , that tied her fate to bringing justice to the inhabitants of Malaga Island, and ultimately helped those decendants with some form of closure to a very sad and sordid chapter of Maine's earlier dogmatically hidden past.
