Andrew Duarte was a public servant in every sense of the definition. He loved serving his community and helping people. The day he found himself in a gunfight with a desperate man who had entered with a gun and zip ties, he proved, with his life, that he was indeed a man among men; after he was shot, he saw his fellow officer in a compromised position, and he left cover to drag his blue brother to safety,...and that was his final heroic act.
