In this full-length interview, NYC-based rap veteran, Consequence talks about his upbringing in St. Albans, Queens, and San Diego on the West Coast. He details the high standards his parents set and the ties that his grandfather and uncles had to the criminal lifestyle. As the talk moves along, the former collaborator of A Tribe Called Quest talks about the impact of losing his grandmother to Leukemia at the age of twelve and how that experience set him on the path toward writing rap songs.
