Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee has called out Google's large language model, Gemma, for fabricating serious criminal allegations about her. Blackburn has demanded an explanation from Google about how Gemma made up these false claims and what steps they've taken to fix any political bias. She has also insisted that Google take Gemma offline until it can guarantee accuracy and fairness, as voters deserve reliable and unbiased AI tools. Google has not yet responded publicly to Blackburn's letter, but is facing increased scrutiny about its AI products' training and supervision.
