A common misonomer about scenes is that the start of the scene is on the first line.

This isn't true.

The scene starts before the scene starts.

Most actors know this intuitively as they're trying to do things before the scene to get them focused, but they're usually doing three things that don't help them get into the heart and soul of the role.

This episode of Unstoppable Actors walks you through

  • The three things to avoid before scenes so you can make connect genuinely to the characters emotions.
  • A potent Method Acting exercise that will get you in the character's reality before you step foot into the scene
  • A mistake actors make that blocks them and advise on how to overcome this

When you follow this advice you'll find more freedom, creativity, inspiration and authenticity in scenes.

I can't wait to help you.
