This video showcases what I like and dislike about both Elgato's EyeTV 3 software and HDPVRCapture software for recording from the HD PVR series of capture devices on Mac OS X. These programs are not necessary on Windows.
This video shows my personal opinions on the software necessary to record gameplay footage on Mac OS X for video reviews, commentary or let's play videos.
Personally, I much prefer EyeTV, but it will NOT work with HD PVR 2 devices that use HDMI inputs... so OS X users are stuck with the much worse HDPVRCapture software.
YMMV. If you love HDPVRCapture, fine. I don't... and I don't need to hear any crap about why you feel I am wrong in hating the software.
