The discussion then turns to the nature of trials—those that stem from personal choices, the actions of others, and the inherent challenges of mortality. Connor and Sonny recount moments on the football field when they faced adversity despite doing everything right—illustrating how trials often come even in the midst of faithfulness. Chase admits he doesn’t enjoy trials but expresses hope that he’ll appreciate them more in the future, especially when he eventually sees Jesus Christ face to face.
