In this episode of Try Life On, Maurice explains one of 20+ Try Life On principles he uses in coaching and in his own journey:

Ask Better Questions.

Create Solutions to Support, not Problems to Solve

So many people go to employers, partners or family with a problem such as ‘I want to work remotely’. But what that does is create a problem for that person to solve. You’ve created work for someone. It’s much better to create and present compelling solutions by asking by better questions, you easily build lifestyle.

Maurice shares how he used this tactic his own journey, including navigating corporate life while pursuing dreams of becoming a street cop, trying out for the NFL, and being a Federal Agent working on the Aegean Sea — all achieved by presenting actionable solutions to higher-ups rather than simply stating his goals.

Key takeaway? When you want to live life on your terms, present solutions that make it easy for others to say yes.

Don’t Quit. Ask Better Questions
