Dr. Kathie Mathis, with over 40 years of experience, is a renowned expert in abuse, trauma, and victimology, having contributed to over 600 court cases across the U.S. She is a master trainer, educating professionals, including UN psychologists, FBI agents, and educators, on the effects of abuse. Dr. Mathis has helped draft over 11 laws, including three federal laws, and authored the pioneering book "Emotional Addiction: A Bittersweet Truth." Recognized for her contributions, she received an award from a former U.S. President and the FBI Director under President Biden for her work with over 30,000 crime victims. A frequent guest on the Dr. Phil Show, she is also a domestic violence consultant for the California Judicial Council and a sought-after keynote speaker. As CEO of the California Cognitive Behavioral Institute, Dr. Mathis is dedicated to holding perpetrators accountable and promoting healing for victims and can be contacted through her website, www.theccbi.com.
