His big break came in 1972 on Donnie Hathaways’s “Live” album and that led him to play and tour with Gregg Allman, David Bowie, Jimmy Buffett, Eric Clapton, Bo Diddley, The Dobbie Bros, Aretha, Isaac Hayes, George Harrison, Vince Gill, Etta James, Billy Joel, B.
