Nicholas George Gravenites (excuse my mispronunciation) born in Chicago on October 2, 1938. Ne started playing the blues while attending the University of Chicago. He is best known for his work with The Electric Flag, Janis Joplin and Big Brother, and Mike Bloomfield, He sometimes performed under the stage names Nick "The Greek" or Gravy. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2003. Nick passed away in September 2024.
