Manage episode 515664406 series 3658197
Our minds shut down involuntarily at night. We spend a third of our lives in a state where the awareness of our surroundings is all but gone. There is a rare neurological disorder called FFI that prevents the sufferer from sleeping. Tragically, their lives will end in delirium, coma, organ failure and death. Sleep is a most powerful partner in our survival. It's the mind's most valued. This episode is dedicated to our most cherished friend to the end.
