ABOUT EVAN

Evan is a corporate governance expert and has advised founders, executives, directors and investors for over 17 years in Silicon Valley and internationally. He has also been retained as an expert in corporate governance litigation both in the U.S. and abroad, and has deep experience with executive and director education.
In 2023, Evan was named one of the most influential leaders in corporate governance by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) as part of the 2023 NACD Directorship 100™, an annual list of leading corporate directors and governance advocates. He was included among the top 50 governance professionals "who exemplify the knowledge, leadership, and excellence that our organization promotes."
In 2020, Evan was appointed as the inaugural Executive Director of the Center for Business Law, and Adjunct Professor of Law, at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).
Also in 2020, Evan launched the Boardroom Governance Podcast, an in-depth interview podcast with leading corporate governance experts (boardroom-governance.com), and the Boardroom Governance Newsletter, a monthly newsletter including some of the latest trends and developments in corporate governance (evanepstein.substack.com).

Since 2017, Evan has been the Founder & Managing Partner of Pacifica Global, a corporate governance advisory firm. Before founding Pacifica Global, Evan was the Executive Director of the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Center for Corporate Governance, a joint initiative between Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He has also served as a Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Law School since 2011.
