How do we evoke empathy and understand failure in business if we stopped learning the tools to develop them in kindergarten? We need to put play back on the agenda.
Ilana Ben Ari joins Niko Woischnik, founder of TOA, on the podcast this week. Ilana founded Twenty One Toys in 2012 and was included in 2020’s top female founders for showing that play is the route to emotional intelligence and commended for reshaping the future of learning in TIME magazine.
Twenty One Toys is not your average toy company, it’s a training and development company aiming to teach what textbooks can’t; empathy and failure.
Both award-winning toys are used worldwide in classrooms and boardrooms in 50+ countries in a bid to reframe failure and recognise different perspectives and self-awareness.
Ilana and Niko discuss her journey to a social entrepreneur and founder, how getting investors as a female founder is harder, and understanding your rhythm as a founder is key - night owls have just as much success as 5am early birds.
Bootstrapping a business from the bottom up? Make sure that resilience, curiousness, and blind faith are on your radar.
