Joseph's life in Egypt begins in forced servitude, yet even in a foreign land and in the house of Potiphar, an Egyptian official, something extraordinary happens: “The Lord was with Joseph.” His integrity, skill, and God-given favor cause him to rise, and things are going well until temptation strikes. Potiphar’s wife tries to seduce him, and when Joseph refuses her advances out of fear of sinning against God, she falsely accuses him.
