It’s finally Season 3, with a fresh season and a fresh perspective on the topic of death and dying. Because It’s been several months since new episodes were released, I talk through the hiatus over the holiday season and what’s to come over the next few months.

On today’s episode, I discuss re-framing “Why me?” into “Why NOT me?” This mental shift and awareness can be a game-changer.

The first time I remember making this switch was during a presentation I gave to a women’s leadership group a few years ago, before my brother passed away. I experienced the imposter syndrome of “Why Me?” during a professional opportunity, and actively re-framed the second guessing of “Why did they invite me?” to, “This is where I am supposed to be! Why NOT me?”

As struggle happens in life, both in loss and as we navigate challenges that living brings, a shift in perspective can give us more intentional thoughts, actions and choices. The “Why me?” can become “Why NOT me?” in the best way possible! We have a shared experience of humanity, and the unique opportunity to acknowledge our mortality. Let’s use it in a positive way!
