Lullabies and broken cries | Infertility
Manage episode 482152796 series 3545739
Infertility is one of life’s greatest trials, and brings great sorrow to those who walk that road. When we remember that God is perfectly sovereign over all things, we can find peace in blaming God - but not in a negative way. The peace comes from acknowledging that God is God, and we are not, and we can rest in the fact that he is sovereign, he’s in control, and he is good and faithful. So that must be enough. That IS enough.

When this is the day you question WHY you haven’t been able to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term, when this is the day you want to give up praying, when this is the day you feel unseen and feel that your prayers are unanswered - look away from your grief, look away from your sorrow. Look towards the God of the Universe who loves you and DOES have a good purpose for you. Rehearse Isaiah 55:8-9 in your mind, to remember how small you are and how big God is, yet he numbers your every hair.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
