Maltina Jashari is on a mission to become Salford’s first female Formula 1 Driver.

And it’s getting very close for the architectural engineering student, who’s splitting her time between track testing, studying and trying to raise the money to make her dream come true.

While very much focused on her future career, Maltina explains that this is also about promoting motorsport and STEM to the next generation of girls and showing what can be achieved.

“I want to change the narrative here in Salford. I’m very loyal to Salford, because I’ve grown up here and I’ve seen so much talent but there hasn't been an opportunity, so we need to create these opportunities for younger girls.”

As a driver, Maltina also works in esports at MediaCity. Since the podcast earlier this week, she joined the Alpine Formula One Team as their F4 Sim Racing Driver in the British F4 Esports Championship.

It’s a fascinating insight into how driven (forgive the pun) you need to be to reach the top of your sport. If you are interested in sponsoring Maltina, then get in touch…
