Lawrence Chambers is a dedicated public servant leader, who prides himself on transforming and elevating others so that the overall mission is accomplished, while each individual appreciates that they play a part in the success. He currently serves as the senior leader for an agency within the Federal Government. Chambers has over 20 years of experience in leadership at both the military and federal government developing, leading, and implementing policy goals. He has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with, coach, and develop people by inspiring them, as they feel an ownership role in their success. Chambers has led teams that perform audits of mission-critical programs that support the mission, vision, values, and goals of the agency.
Chambers received my BS from Virginia Union University and my MBA from Averett University. He is a graduate of the Partnership for Public Service Leadership Excellence in Acquisition Program (LEAP) and Excellence in Government (EIG) Fellows Program. During his tenure as a Public Servant, he has held the positions of Federal Correctional Officer, Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, Procurement Analyst, Director of the Risk Management and Compliance Unit, Director of the Risk Management and Compliance Division, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom Staff Sergeant (Ret.) military veteran. Chambers has been married to my beautiful wife for over 20 years and they have 3 kids.
