At today’s Youth Sunday Service, our Senior Pastor, Pastor Femi Paul, delivered a thought-provoking exhortation titled “WHY?” Drawing from Judges 6:13, he unpacked Gideon’s honest question to the angel of the Lord: “If the Lord is with us, why are we facing so much trouble?” This powerful moment reflects the heart cry of many young people who grapple with life’s challenges despite their faith. Pastor Femi reminded us that God is not afraid of our questions, and that such honesty can be the beginning of something divine. He emphasised that asking “Why?” is not a sign of doubt or weakness, but often a gateway to deeper understanding, divine encounter, and purpose. Like Gideon, those who question in sincerity are often the very ones God chooses to raise up. In our honest questions, God births strength, clarity, and a renewed sense of calling.
