Can we talk about the mom guilt that comes with needing space from your kids, while using it to numb out vs actually restoring? Because there's a massive difference between alone time that restores you and alone time that makes you feel worse - and maybe you're experiencing the latter like me...
In this raw episode, I'm getting real about hitting my nervous system limits with my 8-year-old daughter and the shame spiral that follows. This isn't about being a bad mom for needing breaks - it's about recognizing when you're using phone scrolling as fake restoration instead of honoring what you actually need. I'm sharing my decision to experiment with late-night creative time, potentially delete Instagram for 30 days, and the bigger message about what needs to shed so we can step into more presence.
