The weather is getting hotter, and here we are at Episode 58. This week something a little different. This week, on The Way-Back Music machine, we have decided to do a full length, extended From Memphis To Merseyside episode. This means stories about Elvis and The Beatles.

Starting off, we look at John Lennon's last television appearance. And what an appearance it was. A very unusual backing band and Lennon, not so subtly, making an observation about the gentleman he is supposedly paying tribute to.

Then we are off to the U.K., where in 2002, Elvis is still breaking and making new records, and I don't mean the ones pressed on vinyl.

This is an interesting story of a song over three decades old topping the charts world-wide, with one exception.

Then we go back to when Elvis got himself a new manager.

Finally, we look at The Beatles recording a song that went on to become the most covered songs in rock and roll history.

All that, plus charts, and excellent conversation between friends. Enjoy Episode 58 of The Way-Back Music Machine!
