Why Do You Trust God?
Manage episode 503706069 series 3132359
This week, I’m opening up about one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves: Why do I trust God?
Trust doesn’t usually happen all at once—it’s built piece by piece, through answered prayers, unexpected provision, quiet moments of peace, and even through loss and fear. In this episode, I share some of my own stories—from holidays when my family had nothing but God showed up, to the heartbreak of losing my mom, to long nights in the hospital when my husband was sick. Each of those moments added another brick to the foundation of trust in my life.
Along the way, we’ll also look at powerful examples from Scripture: the widow at Zarephath in 1 Kings 17, the disciples in the storm from Mark 4, and the Israelites crossing the Jordan River in Joshua 3. These stories remind us that God provides, God calms, and God leads us—but often only after we take the step of faith.
My hope is that as you listen, you’ll take time to reflect on your own testimony. Where has God already proven Himself faithful in your life? And where might He be asking you to trust Him now, even before you see the outcome?
This week’s challenge is simple but powerful: share your story. Your testimony could be the very thing that helps someone else learn to trust God.
So join me as we get real, get messy, and discover once again that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.
