The latest in a line of hit or miss Netflix zombie movie and shows that included #Alive, Kingdom, Valley of the Dead, Black Summer, Army of the Dead, Outside, Betaal, Zombieverse, All of Us are Dead, Cargo and Zom100: Bucket list of the Dead, comes this Indonesian effort. Now, you may think that Indonesia would become country #40 for us, but no, we have seen an Indonesian zombie movie already in Zeta, The Dead Awaken which was okay to be fair. We still have Zombiepura from Singapore and Z-Mom from Cambodia for that mantle.

In this, Elixir, a patriarch businessman who owns a wellness drink company creates a new elixir of youth that hasn't been FDA approved. He takes it and, after a short time with dark hair and supple skin, he turns zeke and starts ripping out throats. These are fast moving, fast turning, bloody, throat ripping, grey eyed, black veined Asian zombies, with all the cracking bones and slathering and howling to go with it.

From there the action is limited to the house he shared with his lounge-about son Bang, his very young second wife Kar and an army of staff, and as his daughter, spoiled shit and former classmate of Kar, Nes, yes he is diddling someone his daughter's age, her young son Han and her soon to be divorced if he lives husband Rudi joins the mess to argue about inheritances.

There is a lot of good gore, quite a few nice overhead drone shots, and a great scene where three of the protagonists in riot gear hide behind riot shields in the middle of a horde, but ultimately there isn't anything new here. I gave it 6/10 because it was watchable. Nes was horrible, and when she wasn't being a spoiled brat she was whining and squealing. The cops were dumb. And no one seems to have an ounce of sense when it comes to survival. Too much shouting! Not enough shhhh!
