Welcome to The Tune'd In Podcast!!!!! (Formerly Known as Dussé & Backwoods) I'm your host TUNDEEEEEE!! Aka Chocolate Papí aka TunGotJokes Twitter/IG/TikTok: @Tungotjokes Special Guest: J SNOW On this episode of T.I.P, we sit down with a Comedian, Writer, YouTuber, Film maker and Compton native; J Snow. We first start off our conversation talking about what it was like for J Snow growing up in Compton and how during his child hood he witnessed so many traumatic things that he became numb to the fact that a lot of those things he experienced weren't normal. He goes on to elaborate about the fact that he was very much so an "outside kid", who found himself getting into random things that were both fun and mischievous. J Snow explains how growing up in the hood for him gave him a different understanding of not only survival but self awareness at a young age, because not only did his father pass away when he was young but he also had to learn a lot on his own because he was the youngest of his siblings. We later transition the conversation to a more serious topic about J Snow's life when Tun brings up the fact that Snow has a rare health condition that he has been dealing with for the entirety of his life which is Sickle Cell Anemia. J Snow goes into detail about what exactly the unfortunate health condition is, how he's had to navigate through it as a child growing up in Compton and how it has effected his social and personal life as an adult. Our conversation progresses forward as we start to talk about how he got started doing Youtube sketches in his early 20's which he was just doing for fun, but later catch the attention of a very popular website called "WorldStar Hip Hop." After gaining notoriety from his sketches via WSHH he tells us how he kept working on sketches and dropping them on his YouTube channel which eventually landed him an opportunity to write for the BET Awards, The Hip Hop Awards and The Soul Train Awards. Like usual, our listeners are definitely in for a treat and like always, this is one you do not want to miss! So sit back and enjoy the crazy world of The Tune'd In Podcast. Yay! Yay!
