In this episode, I speak to Teniola Stuffman who is among the 2024-2025 Foundry Fellows from the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Teniola (“Teni”) is launching a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in Nigeria under the well-known brand, Lebara.

Despite progress, digital and mobile penetration in Nigeria lags behind global standards, with many Nigerians experiencing frequent network disruptions that impact communication, productivity, and quality of life. The economic challenges in Nigeria have heightened the demand for advanced, reliable mobile networks, presenting a significant opportunity for development. Lebara aims to provide a smarter and more affordable network solution, addressing common issues such as high costs, poor service reliability, and subpar customer support.

Teni also speaks on being in the Foundry Fellow Program and her commitment to forming partnerships with like-minded individuals to drive digital penetration across Africa.

This episode is part of a 7-episode series we are doing with fellows from different African countries.
