This week we’ll be looking back to 2021 to do a re-watch of the 2020 Women’s Olympic Road Race (you’ll recall the 2020 Olympics got pushed back a year because of Covid.) That was the year that an almost unknown rider for a tiny, not-traditionally-cycling-focused country pulled off an upset for the ages. We’ve been wanting to take another look at this race, especially in the wake of Canadian Magdelaine Vallieres’ recent stunning win at the 2025 World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, and it did not disappoint, even though we knew the outcome. What a race. And as always, we’ll finish with a ride in the Broom Wagon.
