Juicero, a high-tech, WiFi-connected juicer startup, raised $120M from top investors with its promise of fresh, cold-pressed juice at home. Despite innovative features, a viral video revealed the juicer was unnecessary—juice could be squeezed by hand. Sales plummeted, layoffs followed, and Juicero shut down in 2017.
