Increase in the UK Immigration Health Surcharge

The Immigration health surcharge is set to increase by 66%, from £ 624 to £ 1,035. UK Prime Minister; Rishi Sunak announced that this increase is going to help fund the big rise in the public sector.
Immigration Health Surcharge for students, will also increase from £470, to £776, and, will also be accompanied, with an increase in the visa fees.
The people moving to the UK, from outside of the Common Travel Area, for longer than six months, are now required to pay a health surcharge, as part of their immigration application.
For applicants applying online, Immigration Health Surcharge is paid, as part of the application, or when you book an appointment.
For postal applications the surcharge is paid online before you send your application. Applicants need to include the IHS reference number on the application form.
The Home Office is expected to provide details of the categories of visas that will face the hikes and when the new higher rates will come into force.
