My Uncle Tom was a man of mystery when I was a child. There are still some jobs he can't talk about. He was a project manager for a submersible dive on the ship wreck of the Titanic. He gives us a rundown of what it was like to see some of the first images of the gash in the starboard side of the hull. He searched for a downed commercial airliner in the icy waters off of Kamchatka while Soviet spy ships hindered their efforts. He also tells us what it was like growing up in rural Pennsylvania and joining the Navy in the 1960's. And a lesson on sonar.
