There are stories that whose enduring messages of hope, renewal, and redemption transcend time and space. Stories like Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and Lewis’s the Chronicles of Narnia. And today’s guest is an expert on both men and the times and battles that shaped them into the culture creators we know and love.

Joseph Loconte is the author of the book A Hobbit, a Wardrobe, and a Great War: How J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis Rediscovered Faith, Friendship, and Heroism in the Cataclysm of 1914-1918. He just finished a stint as a guest lecturer at Grove City College and today’s episode he joined Tom and Nate to discuss Tolkien, Lewis and Loconte. So join Tom, Nate and Joseph for an adventure through the Great War and into Joe’s own life and Christian formation.
