If you watched the Dolphins in Sunday morning's game against the Commanders, you saw two evenly matched teams struggle their way through 60 minutes of football. It wasn't so much a war of attrition as it was a struggle to see who could screw up the least. Ultimately, despite some curious play calling and decision making from Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins came out victorious in overtime. Rather that being particularly informative about how the Dolphins are growing under the leadership of Mike McDaniel, the game proved to reinforce the belief of many Miami fans that the team has peaked under McDaniel. The sloppiness and lack of attention to detail that have been hallmarks of McDaniel's teams were present again on Sunday morning. Sure, they won, but how much of the victory was down to the Commanders being the last team to make a mistake?
