"Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?" We do, and that's why we recast American Psycho this week. The movie adaptation of this Bret Easton Ellis novel was Christian Bale's breakout role as Patrick Bateman; the quintessential 80's Wall Street douchebag sociopath, who's extravagant life is so empty that he has to hallucinate the brutal murders of several people in order to actually feel anything.

You can look forward to us trying to make out what is real and what isn't. I argue that this movie does not hold up well, and it has nothing to do with it being outdated. Mike shares his decade long beef with this movie, which may or may not somewhat ruin the movie for you. I also strongly implore people not to watch this movie 3 times in one week. It messes with your mind. Although, I needed a last minute Halloween costume for a party, and wearing a suit with a rain poncho over it was surprisingly effective and cheap. It didn't hurt that I was able to recite the Huey Lewis monologue verbatim. My girlfriend is keeping her distance from me as a result. Frankly, I don't blame her.
