In Episode 16 The Child of Frost Dreams Nancy returns to the Nexus with a new fragment of the Tree of Life After recharging her compass she receives a childs distress call from a freezing world known as the Ivory Tundra Navigating through this harsh landscape she encounters Lyria Moonshade a healer drawn by similar dreams The duo discovers an ice cathedral where they find a child meditating surrounded by magical energies linked to a hidden civilization However they are confronted by the malevolent alchemist Garrik Blackthorn who seeks to exploit the childs powers In a fierce battle Nancy channels her compasss energy to stabilize the cavern while Lyria defends against Blackthorns minions Ultimately Nancy retrieves the Frost Blade fragment but is forced to leave it behind as the cavern collapses Lyria opts to stay and help the ice people while Nancy returns to the Nexus only to discover that the Blights corruption is impacting her compass The episode concludes with Nancy receiving an ominous new destination marked RETURN
