This is an information-packed episode during which I cover a variety of topics, all of which will help you understand and appreciate yourself better. Two of the main topics include the harm of feeling sorry for yourself and how to generate the emotions that can lead you in a better direction. Highlights I recently talked to a woman about her inability to generate income even though she had made plenty of money in the past. I talk about our conversation. I explain how my income increased when I stopped feeling sorry for myself. To change your life results, you have to alter how you perceive yourself. I explain. It helps to get in touch with your subconscious programming so you can move in a new direction. Your perception of who you are is a story you have made up as a result of all your experiences and you are living out the results of that perception. Your story is not who you are. If you experienced a lot of abuse or neglect, you haven’t learned about how to view and talk to yourself in a positive way. You can teach your brain new things and develop an altered perception of yourself and what you expect from life. Your brain doesn’t change quickly. It is your feelings that are the creative force behind your life stories and the results you’re getting. To change your outcomes, you have to create a new persona. This is not necessarily easy to do. I talk about using the mantra, I am the power, I am the light. The magic is within you. You have the power to change your life. Ask yourself, “Do I feel sorry for myself? Do I want someone to fix me or rescue me?” Are you willing to go through the discomfort of change? It’s important to learn to accept, acknowledge, and appreciate who we are so we can continue to expand in our own, individual way. I suggest several things you can do to be more comfortable in your life. Part of learning how to be wise is learning how to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
