We’re trying something a bit different this week on The Pieces! Bimini is joined by three incredible voices from the LGBTQ+ community for a roundtable conversation.

Bimini is joined by academic and activist Samuel Moir-Smith (he/him), the boundary-breaking creative Darkwah (they/them) and audio-visual storyteller Suithink (she/her) to talk about the impact of the recent UK ruling that makes biological sex – not gender identity – the defining legal marker of womanhood.

In this roundtable, Bimini, Samuel, Darkwah and Suithink reflect on the current climate, the influence of the media on policy and their personal experiences since the Supreme Court ruling.

They also talk about the idea of ‘policing womanhood’, the power of trans actualisation and the vital role of community and allyship during these tough times.
