In this episode of The Perspicacious Perspective, I explore the history of immigration in the UK by focusing on the largest foreign-born populations that have settled in England and Wales since World War II. I take a close look at when migrants from different nations first began arriving, what political, social, and economic factors encouraged them to emigrate, and how immigration levels rose or fell at different points in time.

I also discuss where the biggest diasporas can be found today, from South Asian and Caribbean communities that arrived in the post-war decades to later European migration following EU expansion. By tracing these stories, I aim to show how immigration has shaped modern Britain, creating the diverse society we know today.
