Episode #4: Layers of Identity (Part I) Lesotho, the “Kingdom in the Sky,” is a nation rich in history, culture, and symbolism. In this episode, we welcome OHIO graduate student Rose Mathohonolofatso, who offers a compelling perspective on identity and belonging. She shares her experience of navigating life as a minority within a minority within a minority, reflecting on the complexities of representation and resilience. Through storytelling, Rose takes us through Lesotho’s geography, the meaning behind its flag, and the significance of traditional attire, offering listeners a deeper understanding of her homeland. The 3C Podcast highlights the rich cultural narratives of our international students at Ohio University. As part of a larger storytelling initiative—Culture, Community, and Connection—launched by the Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact, the 3C Podcast is an exploration into the diverse experiences and perspectives that shape our global community at Ohio University. Through conversations about language, music, food, dance, relationships, attire, and so much more, students share their stories of transition and discovery in a joyful and impactful manner. Each episode is designed to celebrate and empower international students by amplifying their voices and connecting them with broader audiences, offering listeners the opportunity to learn and leave inspired.
