Hey Bobcats, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for October 20 through October 27. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—the International Student Career Academy is hosting a session on understanding and leveraging communication styles today, October 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wasserman Union Square. It's a great opportunity to enhance your professional skills. Next—the EMEA Recruiter Panel is happening virtually on Wednesday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you're eyeing careers in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, this is your chance to connect with recruiters. And—the Asia Pacific Recruiter Panel is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 8 to 9 p.m. This virtual event is perfect for those interested in opportunities in the Asia Pacific region. Over the weekend, our women's volleyball team split their matches at the John A. Paulson Center. They clinched a thrilling five-set victory against Kean University but fell to Williams College in straight sets. Looking ahead, the Violets will face Case Western Reserve University on Sunday, October 26, at 12 p.m. Central Time. In men's cross country, the team competed at the Connecticut College Invitational, finishing second in a tight race. Greg Borden led the pack, securing fourth place with a time of 25:18.19. This Wednesday, October 22, at 3:30 p.m., unwind from midterms at the Make Your Own Slime Party in Pless Hall, 3rd floor. It's a fun way to de-stress and get into the Halloween spirit. Also on Wednesday, at 5 p.m., there's a lecture on modern Greek LGBTQ+ history at the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, room 301. Expand your understanding of intersectionality in Greek culture. And don't miss the Halloween Dog Parade on Sunday, October 26, at 11 a.m. at the Garibaldi Sculpture in Washington Square Park. Come see the city's cutest pups in their spookiest costumes. This week in New York City, expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the upper 50s to mid-60s. There's a chance of showers early in the week, so keep an umbrella handy. Your move: Register for the EMEA and Asia Pacific Recruiter Panels happening on Wednesday, October 22. Don't miss out on these valuable networking opportunities. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning. Tap follow on your podcast app so you never miss a beat.
