This week we're joined by the incredible Dr Lynne Kelly! I remember hearing about Lynne's work during my time on excavation and was completely taken with it. She has spent decades working with indigenous communities around the world, especially Australian Aborigines, to study how they codify memory, transmit knowledge and connect to their landscape. In this episode we talk about the different forms of memory, how indigenous communities can remember generations of information and encode knowledge in the landscape itself to have what on the surface looks like super-human memory.

We then unpack the importance of these natural trained memory systems as it pertains to ritual and archaeology before concluding with how to go about training your own memory.
