A Profound Relationship
Manage episode 498509507 series 3659290
Matthew 17:1-8
Pastor Cory is taking a break this week from our series on Ephesians to bring us a powerful message on the account of Jesus Christ's transfiguration. More than just a story depicting the true nature of our Lord's divinity, the transfiguration teaches us a lesson on the nature of what our relationship with Him ought to be. He is more than a teacher, more than a prophet, more than a hyper-spiritual being. He is all of these and so much more. Jesus is the Son of God, God in the flesh, the Messiah, our Savior and Lord. Our relationship with Him ought to be personal, Spirit-filled, and guided by God.
The calling for every Christian is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Well, where does the earth begin and where does it end? For us at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, the world begins in the Shumont Community on top of a little peak in Buncombe County, NC. Our prayer is that through this platform we might do our part in reaching the ends of the earth with the gospel!
We have finally gotten our back-content uploaded, praise the Lord! Thank you so much for bearing with us. From now on we will be uploading 1 message per week on Sundays as our schedule allows. We are currently in our series on Worship, and will be continuing in this series for the foreseeable future. Pastor Cory is also making his way through the book of Ephesians in his messages. We at Bald Mountain Baptist Church are so glad you have joined us here, and our prayer is that you are blessed by this message!
Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
Isaiah 42:10-11
