Picture this, a beautiful morning - sun is out, birds chirping, coffee in hand. And my family and I are in a lawn chair on the side of the road, waiting for our local memorial day parade. A great way to kick off the summer. Everyone is happy and smiling until a portion of the parade. The one person not smiling? Me. Why? Because there is one group of lunatics riding around ridiculous-looking scooters, throwing candy, and smiling at me like they’re trying to take residence in my dreams - clowns. I can’t stand them. When they start running around, everyone stops and looks at me to see my reaction. I just don’t get it.
