Hey Tim the Beaver, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for October 6 through October 13. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—registration for the 2026 MIT Science Olympiad Invitational opens Wednesday at 6 p.m. and closes Friday at 6 p.m. If your team aims to compete, mark your calendars and apply promptly. Next, the MIT Energy Initiative is hosting a talk on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. in Building 45. Kurt Kelty from General Motors will discuss advancements in battery technology and the energy transition. It's a great opportunity for those interested in sustainable energy. Finally, the MIT Symphony Orchestra performs Friday at 8 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium. It's free for the MIT community, so come enjoy an evening of classical music. Over the weekend, our sailing team competed in the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship, showcasing their skills against top competitors. Looking ahead, the Open Atlantic Coast Championship is set for this Saturday and Sunday. Let's cheer on our sailors as they navigate the waters. This Friday, unwind with a virtual Roll + Restore class from 5 to 6 p.m. It's a perfect way to de-stress and rejuvenate. On Saturday, the MIT Folk Dance Club invites you to an evening of international folk dancing. It's a fun way to experience diverse cultures and meet new friends. Craving something different? The food trucks on campus are featuring a new lineup this week, including a popular Korean BBQ option. Don't miss out on these delicious eats. This week in Cambridge, expect mild temperatures with a mix of sun and clouds. There's a chance of showers midweek, so keep an umbrella handy. Perfect weather for both indoor and outdoor activities. Your move: Register for the Science Olympiad Invitational by Friday at 6 p.m. Don't miss this chance to showcase your team's talents. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning. Tap follow on your podcast app so you never miss a beat.
