As a young mom on the brink of a new career, Desni Crock was suddenly faced with the words every parent dreads to hear…
“Your Child has Cancer”
Those words forever changed her life, though, in some ways you may never expect.
After fighting for several years with her first child, she was pronounced Cancer-Free, but as we all know, the battle didn’t end there.
For so many, including the patients and caregivers, so much of the fight comes in the mental and emotional aftermath of such a tragedy.
Desni helped form an advocacy group called BrAva that has now raised tens of thousands of dollars and countless support for kids battling through cancer right in her community.
It became her life’s purpose to help those affected by Childhood Cancer, and to help her family navigate their new life.
But then, Desni’s second child was diagnosed with an entirely separate type of Cancer.
And her reaction was different than you could ever guess.
Join us on this episode of The Impossible, where we dive into Desni’s entire journey and learn invaluable lessons from her fight.
Most of all, she wants us to know, it is Ok to show up each day with what you can give.
No matter the prognosis, showing up for the fight is what makes you a Survivor.
Thank you for listening, and as always…Be Impossible!
