In this episode, I speak with Giles Grover, a long-time campaigner at the heart of the End Our Cladding Scandal movement, to cut through the noise around fire safety, dangerous buildings, and the government’s legacy of deregulation.

We dig into why buildings under 80 metres are still unsafe, why leaseholders should never be footing the bill for remediation, and how decades of policy failure have led us to this point. I also challenge the role housing associations should be playing, why government support must go beyond hollow promises, and how a web of self-interested parties — from lawyers to consultants — are profiting from prolonged inaction.

And I ask what might be the most damning question of all: are homes being built now any safer than they were before Grenfell?

If you're affected — or just trying to understand the scale of this crisis — don't miss it.
