This morning, we welcome Dave Blow as he shares a brief reflection on a well known passage from the book of Jeremiah. God's plans and purposes are always long-term, even if the situation you're in doesn't feel hopeful.

Just a reminder that the first Sunday of each month is a Community Sunday. This is why the teaching this morning is so brief. In addition to our usual times of musical worship and teaching, we take time on Community Sundays to partake in communion and connect with one another over refreshments. All are welcome!

Home Church Questions:

1. What was a time that you had to wait for a long time for a good thing to happen?

2. What stood out to you from this week's teaching?

3. Read Jeremiah 29:10-14 (preferably in multiple translations). What stands out to you from this passage?

4. What does God mean when he says, "When seventy years are completed..."? Perhaps looking the context of the passage might help.

5. How does this passage reveal God's character and purpose?

6. Who is the "you" in this passage? How does this affect our understanding of what God is trying to tell us? What are some ways that we can "seek God" as a community?

7. What does it mean to "seek God with all your heart"?

8. Have you ever felt like you were in a kind of 'exile', a time of waiting or uncertainty? How did God work in that season?

9. Pray with and for one another.
