The role of local law enforcement in federal immigration enforcement was center stage in Delaware after the Town of Camden quietly entered into – and then quickly ended – an immigration enforcement agreement with ICE known as a 287(g) agreement.These agreements allow local police to collaborate with ICE, but critics argue they can erode trust within immigrant communities.
